Oakville → Breslau, ON – Rev your engines! The Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides is thrilled to announce the return of its annual Ride for Dog Guides motorcycle event on Saturday, June 21, 2025. Proudly presented by the Green Capes Trust Foundation, this scenic three‑hour ride will begin at the Oakville Training School and wind its way to the Breslau facility near Guelph https://events.dogguides.com/event/ride
Since its inception, the Ride for Dog Guides has raised over $200,000 in support of providing life-changing Dog Guides to Canadians with disabilities. These highly trained service dogs—whether guiding those with visual impairments, assisting during seizures, or supporting children with autism—are offered free of charge and cost $35,000 each to raise, train, and match
Event Highlights:
- Date & Time: Saturday, June 21, 2025
- 8:45 AM registration opens
- 10:00 AM ride kicks off
- Route: Approximately 3 hours from Oakville Training School to Breslau facility
- Registration Fee: $30 per rider or passenger, which includes BBQ lunch and refreshments
- Activities at Finish: BBQ lunch, raffle, live entertainment, and a popular poker‑run format with stops along the route
Accessible Yoga & Wellness Adding a New Dimension
For the first time, the Breslau facility will host an accessible Yoga & Wellness experience—welcoming broader community engagement and offering a relaxing complement to the ride. This initiative supports mental, emotional, and physical well-being for participants and visitors alike.
