Ground breaking news!
That’s right! The ground has been broken and preparation for the construction of the new Lions Foundation of Canada Dog guides school has begun!
Construction crews have begun the site preparation work, which began with site levelling and the removal of approximately 5000 tonnes of earth to make way for the school foundation. That’s just a little more than even our most energetic four footed friends could handle, so some heavy duty excavators and trucks have been brought in to handle the job!
Below are some initial photos of construction work at the site, taken by GC member Angela Watts:

In the next few months, Green Capes will be holding elections for positions in the club’s Operating Committee, and anyone who is a full member in the club has the opportunity to vote on who will become part of the team that will guide the club’s future activities. You may even be able to become part of the team yourself, and be one of our club’s guiding influences!
Don’t miss your chance to make a difference. Come out and join the fun!
